Dr. Ernest Cronin practiced plastic surgery for 38 years in Houston, Texas. He treated thousands of patients and helped to educate more than 200 plastic surgery residents. He retired in 2016 when he developed appendiceal carcinoma. He now pursues a  writing career.  He published his professional memoir, The Healing Mission of Plastic Surgery, in 2020, and an anthology of memories in Family Reading Time in 2022. He lives a wonderful life with Candy, his wife of 53 years,  in Katy, Texas, near children and grandchildren.
